Job Summary

This is a rare and strategic calling for an entrepreneurial Head of School to build a Classical Christian Academy from the ground up in the heart of North Dakota’s Bakken Oil Play. With a building secured and a vision inspired by Scripture and classical learning, we are seeking a bold and faith-filled leader who will not inherit an existing school but will instead establish it from its very foundation—rallying a diverse community of believers, donors, and industry partners to launch a thriving school for generations to come. Launching in Fall 2026, this Academy will serve Stanley and its surrounding rural and energy-rich communities with a distinctive classical Christian education.

Overview

The Head of Schools will lead all efforts necessary to launch this start-up academy—including vision casting, fundraising, community engagement, and infrastructure planning—in alignment with biblical values and classical Christian education principles. This leader must embrace both strategic planning and grassroots relationship-building, setting the tone for a vibrant, faith-filled learning culture.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Vision Casting & Community Integration

  • Serve as the chief spokesperson and visionary for Christian Crossroads Academy.

  • Cultivate relationships with local families, business owners, churches, alumni from the area, and key civic leaders to build grassroots support.

  • Lead strategic efforts to build long-term partnerships with major industries in the area, especially Oil & Gas sector.

2. Spiritual and Academic Leadership

  • Develop and implement a Christ-centered, classically-rooted academic plan based on the Trivium.

  • Ensure that biblical worldview integration is foundational in all curriculum development.

  • Provide spiritual and theological leadership to staff, students, and families

3. Fundraising & Development

  • Lead all advancement efforts, including donor development, fundraising campaigns, and grant applications.

  • Engage potential supporters with a compelling vision for Christ-centered education in Stanley.

  • Coordinate with founders and board to raise start-up funds, including capital for faculty salaries, curriculum, and student scholarships.

4. Faculty Recruitment & Instructional Planning

  • Recruit, disciple, and develop a founding faculty team committed to classical Christian education.

  • Mentor teachers in classical methodology, biblical integration, and excellence in instruction.

  • Create faculty development plans and performance evaluations grounded in biblical

wisdom.

5. Student Formation & Discipleship

  • Establish school culture rooted in Christian virtue, character formation, and discipleship.

  • Create systems for student evaluation, classroom management, and spiritual growth.

  • Launch student life traditions that promote wisdom, worship, and wonder.

6. Parent Partnership & Communication

  • Actively partner with families as co-laborers in education, reinforcing the biblical role of parents.

  • Launch a Parent-Teacher Fellowship and parent education events to foster unity in mission.

  • Maintain transparent, encouraging communication with parents and guardians.

7. Operational Readiness & Strategic Planning

  • Design school operations for initial launch and long-term sustainability.

  • Develop enrollment strategies, tuition models, policies, and procedures.

  • Ensure all local, state, and Christian accreditation requirements are understood and tracked for future implementation.

8. Campus Development & Stewardship

  • Collaborate with contractors and board members to prepare the physical campus.

  • Oversee school safety, emergency protocols, and building maintenance.

  • Promote biblical stewardship in all aspects of finance, space, and resource allocation.

Qualifications

Spiritual Leadership & Character

  • A mature follower of Christ with a passion for discipleship and cultural engagement.

  • Committed to the authority of Scripture and the lordship of Jesus Christ in education.

  • A calling to Christian education ministry and a love for the Classical tradition.

Educational & Leadership Background

  • Master’s degree in Education, Theology, Classical Studies, or a related field (preferred).

  • Minimum 5 years of teaching and/or school leadership experience, ideally within a classical or Christian school setting.

  • Proven entrepreneurial or start-up experience in ministry or education is highly desirable.

  • Gifted in launching new initiatives, solving complex challenges, and creating momentum in uncertain environments.

  • Strategically minded, yet able to humbly serve and shepherd others.

  • Familiarity with the rural Upper Midwest culture and the ability to adapt vision to local community values.
